Historical information Achuevo-Maidan 

The area in which is situated the village Achuevo-Maidan, the chosen people long ago. The village was founded in the second half of the XVI century, after the campaign of Ivan the terrible to Kazan. The founders of the village were Russians from Moscow and Vladimir, Ukrainians, poles, Tatars, Mordvins. Peasants were engaged in arable farming and crafts. In gardens and on hemp fields sowed hemp and planted vegetables. In the vicinity of the village there were nine water mills and more than sixty windmills, each mill had one worker. Also there were eight manufactories for the production of wool, each of them worked for 4 workers. In 1858 in the village Achuevo-Maidan was 215 houses, where he lived 1850 people. In Soviet times this place was a Farm. The collective Farm had four farms: three dairy and one for fattening bulls for meat. Of cattle there were 2373 heads, pigs heads were 3250, piglets 4160 goals. 4450 hectares were sown with grain crops. The gross grain harvest was 3000 tons. Workers in the farm there were 1200 people, tractors 62 pieces, combines 17 pieces, trucks 20 pieces. There was a brick factory, which produced 1 million pieces of brick a year.
